Official Rules Required Reading Trust-Based Survival

Beacoland is a trust-based survival community. These rules protect the world, the players, the server performance, and the community culture that makes Beacoland work.

These rules apply across the Beacoland Survival server. Additional rules may apply to specific events, districts, shops, farms, or community projects where stated.

Player Rules

1. Respect all players and Team members

Beacoland has a zero-tolerance policy for hate speech. Slurs, derogatory language, toxicity, harassment, or offensive usernames are not allowed and may result in a ban.

2. No griefing

Do not alter, destroy, or modify builds, bases, farms, shops, or structures that do not belong to you. All builds are private unless clearly marked otherwise.

3. No stealing

Beacoland has no land or chest claims. Do not take anything that does not belong to you. Chests, bases, farms, and shops are private unless clearly marked as free to take. Raiding bases or farms is not allowed.

4. Hacking and unfair advantages

Hacked clients, X-ray, fly hacks, seed abuse, or anything that gives an unfair advantage are not allowed. Use only approved client-side mods.

5. No duping, except TNT duping

TNT duping is the only form of duplication allowed. No other item duplication is permitted.

6. Consent-based PvP

Beacoland is a cooperative server, not a PvP server. Do not attack or kill another player unless they have clearly given permission.

7. No spamming or advertising

Spamming may result in a warning or further action. Advertising other Minecraft servers is strictly prohibited. Personal content such as YouTube, Imgur, or Reddit links may be shared, but other servers must not be promoted.

8. The Team has the final say

The rules cannot cover every possible situation. If behaviour harms the community, disrupts the server, or goes against the spirit of Beacoland, the Team may step in and take appropriate action.

Global Rules

9. English-only in global chat

Public chat should be English-only so communication stays clear for everyone. Other languages may be used in private messages or local chat.

10. Spawn area protection

Do not mine, break blocks, chop trees, or alter the spawn area. Building within 500 blocks of spawn is only allowed with Team permission and must be lag-friendly.

11. Respect other players' space

Build at least 200 blocks away from other players unless you have their permission.

12. Nether roof portals and ice roads

  • All portals should be clearly labelled with the resident's name.
  • Ice roads may be a maximum of 7 blocks wide, including railings.
  • Ice roads must connect from your portal straight to the main highway.
  • Ice roads must be spawn proofed.
  • Railings should be easy to cross.

13. The End Island

Mining the obsidian platform is not allowed. The main End island is a public area, and farms or builds on the main End island require Team approval.

14. Streaming and recording

Streamers and content creators must enable the LIVE tag using /toggles. This informs other players that they may be recorded or streamed.

Lag and Performance Rules

Performance rules exist to protect the server for everyone. If a build, farm, or contraption causes lag, the Team may ask for changes even if the design is not specifically listed below.

15. Villager breeders and trading halls

  • Maximum 30 villagers per trading hall.
  • Maximum 3 villagers per breeder.
  • Villagers must be kept in 1×1 holding cells.
  • Avoid excessive hoppers and redstone near trading halls.
  • Trading halls should be built in unloaded chunks, at least 6+ chunks away from bases or frequently loaded areas.

16. Large farm spacing

  • Do not stack multiple large farms in a single area.
  • Large farms must have an off switch.
  • Large farms must be spaced out.
  • Avoid excessive hoppers; use chests, water streams, or droppers where possible.

17. Gold and XP nether portal farms

Gold and XP nether portal farms are limited to 8 portal modules of 23×23×23 each, or 82,000 portal blocks total. Measures must be taken to prevent excessive piglin accumulation.

18. Chunk loaders

  • All chunk loaders must be reported to a Team member.
  • Chunk loaders must have an off switch.
  • Only one chunk loader per player is allowed at any time.
  • Chunk loaders should not run unattended for extended periods.

19. AFK-ing

AFK-ing at public farms is not allowed. AFK-ing at private farms is permitted if the farm is lag-friendly. If a farm is suspected of causing lag, a Team member may temporarily kick players for testing.

20. Entity cramming

Entity cramming is discouraged as a method for killing mobs. If it causes lag, the Team may require immediate changes, including a full farm redesign.

21. Moss-based bonemeal farms

Moss-based bonemeal farms are limited to a maximum of four dispensers for the moss production component. Farms exceeding this limit, or multiple similar farms within the same loaded area, may need to be reduced or removed.

22. Intentional lag machines

Machines designed to cause lag, disrupt gameplay, or stress the server are strictly prohibited. This includes intentionally unoptimized redstone, excessive entity generation, or similar setups created to degrade performance.

23. Alt accounts

Alt accounts are permitted but must be declared and registered with the Team. Only one personal alt account is allowed per player. Bot accounts are not allowed. During performance issues, alt usage may be temporarily restricted.

To register an alt, submit an alt account ticket on Discord with the alt account name and the associated primary account name.

24. Copper Golems

Copper Golems are limited to a maximum of 15 per chunk. This limit may be adjusted in the future based on performance and server stability.

25. Infinibore machines

Infinibore tunnel machines are not allowed. This refers to automated tunnel bore designs that continuously fire TNT entities and clear terrain without player interaction. Standard tunnel bores that require active player operation are permitted.

Temporary Performance Adjustments

During periods of high player activity, season launches, or performance instability, the Team may temporarily tighten or adjust performance-related rules to protect server stability.

Think "Us" Before "Me"

Beacoland is a shared experience. Every player plays a part in keeping the server smooth, fair, and enjoyable. By reducing lag, respecting each other's space, and thinking about the community first, everyone gets a better experience.
